Dainty Forget-Me-Not Ovals

Throughout history, forget-me-nots have been laden with meaning. One German tale tells of a knight and his beloved Lady wandering along a riverbank, captivated by these pretty blue flowers. The blossoms had been loosened by the river’s current and were about to be pulled downstream, so the knight jumped into the water to rescue them. However, the river’s current was too strong, and like the delicate blossoms, it began to pull him down too. But before he was swept away, he tossed the flowers to his beloved and shouted “Vergiss mein nicht!”, “Forget me not!” in German.

So, it comes as no surprise that these flowers have since symbolised true love and remembrance, and are often given as tokens of faithful and enduring love ✧
